Sparklight Begins Network Upgrades in St Robert Paving the Way for MultiGig Internet
ST. ROBERT, Mo. (June 4, 2026) – Sparklight® has begun significant network upgrades in St. Robert and Waynesville, enhancing network performance and preparing the community for Multi-Gig internet speeds. The $2.3 million project reflects Sparklight’s ongoing commitment to residents and businesses across central Missouri.
The project includes major enhancements to Sparklight’s network infrastructure using advanced technology to strengthen reliability, increase capacity and support the growing needs of connected homes. Once complete, residential customers will have access to speeds up to 2 Gigs, delivering ultra-fast speeds for streaming, gaming, remote work and online learning.
Work began on June 2 and will be performed on a neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis through early August.
Customers in affected neighborhoods may experience intermittent service disruptions while upgrades are underway. Customers will receive notification through door hangers and neighborhood signage at least 72 hours before work begins in their area.
As part of the upgrade process, Sparklight technicians may need access to network equipment located within utility easements on private property, which may include customers’ backyards. Crews will make every effort to notify homeowners prior to entry and minimize any disruptions.
“Fast, reliable internet is more important than ever, and these upgrades are designed to deliver the speed, performance and reliability our customers need to thrive in an increasingly connected world,” said Travis Harr, Sparklight Senior Regional Director, North Central. “By expanding network capacity and investing in advanced technology, we’re building a faster, stronger and more resilient network that will support our communities for years to come.”
