Why you need a Wi-Fi router
Your Wi-Fi router takes the internet from your modem and shares it wirelessly with all your devices. A quality router improves coverage, supports multiple devices at once, and helps keep connections fast and secure. With an eero router, everyone in your home can stream, browse, and work online without slowdowns.
Why you need a modem
A modem is what connects your home to the Sparklight network. It translates the internet signal coming from Sparklight into a connection your devices can use. Using a compatible, up‑to‑date modem helps ensure you get the speeds you’re paying for and a stable, consistent connection.
When additional equipment makes sense
For larger homes or spaces with hard-to-reach rooms, a mesh Wi-Fi system like eero can bring your internet connection to the whole home. These devices expand your Wi-Fi coverage so that you have a strong connection everywhere you need it.
Get Sparklight Installed
What types of installation options does Sparklight have?
Getting Sparklight Internet installed is quick and easy! During your checkout experience, you'll be presented with options on how you'd like to receive equipment and get setup. Depending on where you live, Sparklight might even offer same-day install.
Professional installation
If self-install isn’t an option or if you’d prefer a technician visit, you can choose a convenient appointment window during checkout. You’ll receive text message updates before your appointment to let you know when they’re on their way. Before leaving, your technician will make sure everything is working properly.
Self-install kit pickup
If your order qualifies for self-install, you can stop by your local Sparklight office where you can chat with one of our friendly associates and ask any questions you might have. Your kit will include:
- A modem
- One or more eero Wi-Fi devices
- Power cords and cables
- An easy setup guide
Self install kit shipped
If your order includes shipped equipment, you’ll receive tracking information as soon as it’s on its way. Your self-install kit will include everything you need — just like the in-store pickup option.
Wi-Fi setup, support and troubleshooting
*Every home WiFi network is susceptible to wireless interference. Many sources of wireless interference can originate from within or outside the home; this can cause issues maintaining a connection to the wireless network and can also affect the speed of the wireless connection. Wireless performance cannot be guaranteed due to the many variables in homes that can affect wireless connections (learn more about what affects wireless connections). A single unit eero Pro 6E router covers up to 2,000 square feet in ideal conditions. Performance will vary based on environmental factors. Coverage throughout the home can be expanded with an additional eero Wi-Fi device. Customers who require additional coverage may lease an additional eero Wi-Fi device for a monthly fee. **For eero Outdoor 7, only use your eero Outdoor 7 in environments within its operating temperature range of: -40°F to 131°F. Failure to tightly close the weather connector (which may be provided with your eero Outdoor 7) after installation may allow water and insects to enter the device.
