Multi-Gig internet is Sparklight’s newest, ultra-fast internet service that delivers reliably fast internet for the rapidly increasing number of connected devices in your home, next-level gaming, virtual work and school and the ability to upload large files in just seconds.

Sparklight is initially offering 1.5 Gbps and 2 Gbps multi-gig speeds to our residential customers in Dyersburg, TN, Altus, OK, and Duncan, OK. We will be rolling Multi-Gig service out across the communities we serve throughout 2024 and anticipate we will complete the launch to all of our communities by summer 2025.

We’re confident you’ll love multi-gig speeds! Multi-Gig service may be faster than your computer and network’s capability. Old equipment and connections often run at speeds slower than a Multi-Gig service. Customers who have optimum hardware and connections should expect wired speed up to 2 Gbps download and 1.5 Gbps download, depending on the speed to which you are subscribed.

The speeds of our Multi-Gig service may be greater than what today’s WiFi systems can deliver. The speeds you’ll receive vary based on the type of WiFi protocol (G/N/AC), the device being used to access the internet and the distance between the WiFi antenna and your device.
Customers with WiFi 6 equipment (Wall-to-Wall WiFi) and WiFi 6 Compatible devices should be able to get up to 1.3Mbps download speeds via WiFi.

An approved DOCSIS 3.1 modem with at minimum a 2.5 Gig port is required for Multi-Gig service. This type of modem is available as part of Sparklight’s Wall-to-Wall service* from Sparklight or customers may bring their own DOCSIS 3.1 modem obtained from 3rd party retailers when available. Sparklight has a list of supported modems on the Sparklight Support Site at support.sparklight.com under Multi-Gig Internet Supported Modems. Customers with their own home router should confirm it is capable of Multi-Gig speeds.
