Sparklight Awards $2,500 to Clark Middle School for STEM Education
May 5, 2023 – Vincennes, Ind. – Sparklight® today announced Clark Middle School is a winner of its fifth annual “Dream Bigger” social media campaign, which awards $2,500 each to six schools and organizations providing K-12 students with STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education.
In its second year, Clark Middle School’s Big A.I. Robotics team will use the Sparklight award to help build its second robot, and to expand its robotics program so more students who are interested in STEM can participate.
“This is a game-changer for Big A.I. Robotics, as it represents not just a financial boost, but also an affirmation of our hard work and dedication in the field of robotics,” said teacher Justin Kotter. “With this new equipment, our students can continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in the world of robotics.”

Robotics Team will be able to accomplish with this additional funding.”
This year, more than 100 schools and organizations from communities in the 21 states Sparklight serves submitted entries outlining how the award would be used to fund their STEM projects, and how the projects benefit students. The winners were determined by public voting and will be highlighted on Sparklight’s social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram.
Since 2019, Sparklight and the associated Cable One family of brands have awarded nearly $120,000 to STEM projects through its “Dream Bigger” initiative.
