BILOXI COMMUNITY INVITED TO CELEBRATE SPARKLIGHT REBRAND

January 17, 2020 – Biloxi, MS — "Our Sparklight rebrand not only reflects our company's evolution, but also signals a renewed commitment to the communities we serve," said Sparklight's Biloxi General Manager Greg Capranica. "We look forward to welcoming residents of Biloxi and the surrounding Gulf Coast communities to join us in celebrating this exciting milestone."

The Sparklight celebration will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at the Sparklight office, located at 786 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in Biloxi. There will be food, refreshments, giveaways, prizes and a live radio remote with 97.9 CPR Rocks and 105.9 The Monkey. Sparklight and Sparklight Business associates will be available to answer any questions from customers about their current services or in-home WiFi coverage, as well as those inquiring about new high-speed internet service.

Cable One announced its plans to rebrand to Sparklight in the spring of 2019. The high-speed internet and cable service provider began its transition to the new brand over the summer with updated trucks, signage, uniforms, website and social media handles.

The transition, however, is not simply about rebranding products under a new name and look. The Sparklight brand better reflects the company's transformation from its origins as a traditional cable company to a full-service provider committed to providing its communities with connectivity that enriches their world. The name illustrates the speed and connectivity the company is known for, while at the same time symbolizing its new brand promise – connecting people to what matters.

The company continues to focus on making the lives of its customers easier by providing value-added services, such as advanced WiFi service, expanded self-service options through improved residential and business portals, and delivering a more personalized customer experience.

Sparklight is also strengthening its commitment to the communities it serves through educational programs, corporate giving and donations of time and resources. In Biloxi last year that included hosting a blood drive benefiting the Red Cross, partnering with The United Way of South Mississippi's "Day of Action" to prepare and serve lunch at Loaves & Fishes, supporting the Tunnels to Towers 5K race and fundraiser benefitting first responders, sponsoring the American Heart Association's Heart Walk as well as the 2nd Annual Guns & Hoses charity pickleball tournament benefitting community projects supported by first responders, collecting food to stock the pantry at Back Bay Mission, and raising money to purchase shoes for students in need.

As part of its rebrand, Sparklight also introduced an Angel Day benefit in 2019, providing associates one paid day off each year to spend volunteering in their communities. Biloxi associates like Customer Service Representative Tiffinie Barnes and Advance Technician Alan French took advantage of this benefit to volunteer for activities including Senior Field Day in Moss Point and serving food at Loaves & Fishes, respectively.

"Our associates are proud to live and work on the Gulf Coast and grateful for the opportunities Sparklight provides them to give back to this community," Capranica said.
