CABLE ONE ANNOUNCES NEW CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
December 18, 2012 – Phoenix,AZ — Cable One announced today the promotion of Senior Vice President - Chief Operations Officer Julie Laulis, to a new company position titled Chief Operating Officer.
"Julie has a broad 30-year cable background, and in her 13 years at Cable One she has demonstrated an ability to run day-to-day operations and execute difficult changes with exceptional results," said Tom Might, Cable One President and CEO. "This new position will add Sales, Marketing and Technology to her current leadership of Operations."
Laulis started her Cable One career as the Norwest Division Marketing Director in 1999. She was promoted to Southwest Division Vice President in 2001 and promoted again to Senior Vice President - Chief Operations Officer in 2008. In 2004, she accepted the additional responsibility for starting up the company’s Phoenix Customer Care Center.
Prior to Cable One, Laulis was at Hauser Communications and Jones Intercable, where she held the positions of Customer Service Manager, System Marketing Manager, Training Coordinator, Corporate Marketing Director and Senior Director of Marketing. She was selected as Jones Intercable associate of the year in 1998 before joining Cable One in 1999.
Laulis graduated cum laude from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Telecommunications in 1983. She attended the Women in Cable and Telecommunications Betsy Magness Leadership Institute in 1998/1999 and the Harvard Business School’s 12-week PMD program in General Management in 2002. In 2004, she returned to Harvard with a team of three other Vice Presidents to study Business Strategy, and has since helped lead strategic planning at Cable One.
Throughout her career, Laulis has volunteered for various industry association and other leadership assignments including: Vice President of the Washington/Baltimore Cable Marketing Council; Treasurer of Women in Cable and Telecommunications, DC Chapter; Board Member of the Colorado Cable TV Association; Vice President of WICT NM-AZ Chapter; and Women's Leadership Council - Valley of the Sun United Way.
