CABLE ONE ASSOCIATES BUILD, INSTALL LITTLE FREE LIBRARY IN LONG BEACH
February 21, 2019 – Long Beach,MS— A new Little Free Library is now available for Gulf Coast residents to share books, thanks to Cable ONE associates in Long Beach who want to lend a hand in their community.
The library was a collaborative effort between all Cable ONE Long Beach associates, including Warehouse Technician Lonnie Reynolds who proposed the idea and donated $100 to stock the library; Customer Service Representatives who used their team-building meetings to paint and decorate the box; and Field Technicians and Technical Care Center associates who collected and donated books. Lead Advance Technician Kyle Snyder used his own tools to mount and install the library once it was completed.
"Not only have we made sure there are reading books for all ages, but we have stocked the library with bookmarks as well as coloring and activity books for children who are not yet of reading age," said Jessica Fowler, Cable ONE administrative assistant. "All of us here at Cable ONE are committed to giving back to this great community and thrilled to be a part of the world's largest book-sharing movement."
The Little Free Library, located at the Cable ONE office at 19201 Pineville Road in Long Beach, features a beach theme, representing the beauty of the Gulf Coast. Community members are invited to leave or take a book at any time. The new Little Free Library has been registered on the official Little Free Library website at littlefreelibrary.org and can be found by searching Charter #84455.
