Sparklight awards $250,000 annually through its Charitable Giving Fund

The Charitable Giving Fund includes two grant cycles each year, with $125,000 awarded to nonprofits in the spring and $125,000 in the fall. Since its inception in 2020, the program has awarded more than $1.3 million in grants to more than 300 nonprofits.

Previous recipients include Southeastern Arizona Community Unique Services (SEACUS), which received a $7,500 grant to provide nutritious meals and wellness checks to homebound seniors and adults with disabilities.

“For many of our clients, a meal delivery is more than food — it’s a lifeline that reduces isolation and provides reassurance that someone cares,” said Stephanie Nabor, SEACUS Executive Director. “This grant reflects Sparklight’s commitment to the well-being of our community and those who need it most.”

Grants focus on digital literacy, hunger relief and community development

Sparklight focuses its charitable giving on three priority areas where the need is significant and the impact is lasting:
•    education and digital literacy
•    hunger relief and food insecurity
•    community development

Previous grants have also supported child and senior advocacy, housing and rent assistance, workforce development, programs for veterans and individuals with disabilities and other community-based initiatives.

Applications are open Oct. 1–31 for eligible nonprofit organizations
