Sparklight® Donates Chromebooks to Boys & Girls Club of Northern Louisiana
March 20, 2023 — Farmerville, La. — In an effort to ensure young people have the technological tools needed to be successful, Sparklight® recently donated 25 Chromebooks to the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Louisiana.
The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs is to enable all young people, especially those who need support the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Louisiana Boys & Girls Club Eldontá Osborne said the computers will be used to help provide Farmerville youth with online education.
“To be competitive and successful, young people today must have reasonable knowledge of what technology is available, and how to utilize it to take full advantage of the opportunities that are afforded to them,” said Osborne.
Over the past nine years, Sparklight has donated more than 2,600 Chromebooks to Title I schools and community centers in the markets they serve.
