Sparklight Donates 2,000 Backpacks and School Supplies to Help Local Students and Families
KINGS BAY, Ga. (July 18, 2025) – Sparklight®, Kings Bay’s hometown internet provider, is helping families gear up for school by providing 2,000 free backpacks and school supplies at several back-to-school events across Georgia and South Carolina. Supplies align with District requirements to help ensure every student has the tools needed for academic success.
Locally, Sparklight is participating in the Kings Bay Carnival at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, 1368 USS Benjamin Franklin Dr., Kings Bay, on July 26, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Families visiting the Sparklight tent can also learn about military discounts and special internet promotions.
The backpack and school supply donation is an extension of Sparklight’s longtime support for students and schools, which includes grants through its Charitable Giving Fund and volunteerism through the company’s ‘Angel Day’ program.
