Sparklight Awards $2,500 STEM Grant to the Hutchinson County Library in Borger
BORGER, Texas (April 23, 2026) — Sparklight® is proud to award a $2,500 STEM grant to the Hutchinson County Library in Borger through its annual “Dream Bigger” social media campaign, supporting innovative science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education opportunities for K‒12 students.
The funding will be used to refresh and expand the library’s STEM resources, increasing community access to learning tools, digital resources and summer engineering projects that introduce design thinking. It will also support STEM curriculum needs for homeschool educators.
“We are truly grateful to receive the $2,500 award from the 2026 Dream Bigger campaign,” said Lyndsey Bryan, Hutchinson County Library Children’s Resources Coordinator. “This funding will go a long way in helping the Hutchinson County Library enhance our STEM toys and learning materials across all three of our branches.”
“In rural communities, libraries often serve as a primary access point for technology and STEM learning,” said Jay Macleod, Sparklight Senior Regional Director, Southwest. “We’re proud to support the Hutchinson County Library and help expand opportunities for students and families to explore, learn and build STEM skills that will serve them well into the future.”
Since its launch in 2019, Sparklight’s “Dream Bigger” initiative has awarded more than $200,000 in grants to support STEM education and expand access to innovative learning opportunities for K‒12 students. In 2026, 12 schools and organizations across Sparklight’s 24-state footprint were selected to receive funding for impactful, student-focused projects.
