Sparklight Awards $2,500 STEM Grant to Texoma Christian School in Sherman

SHERMAN, Texas (April 28, 2026) — Sparklight® is proud to award a $2,500 STEM grant to Texoma Christian School in Sherman through its annual “Dream Bigger” social media campaign, supporting innovative science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education opportunities for K‒12 students.

The funding will help the school purchase programmable robotics equipment, allowing students to move beyond basic coding concepts and engage in advanced, hands-on STEM learning using block- and text-based coding platforms on iPads.

“We are incredibly honored and grateful to be a 2026 Dream Bigger winner,” said Linda Yeilding, Texoma Christian School Principal. “We are so thankful for Sparklight’s investment in our students, and we are excited to see the creativity and curiosity these new resources inspire.”

“Technology is shaping how students learn, work and connect every day,” said Kenny Walker, Sparklight Senior Regional Director, South Central. “We’re proud to support Texoma Christian School as they expand their STEM program and give students the opportunity to build skills that can inspire future paths in STEM.”

Since its launch in 2019, Sparklight’s “Dream Bigger” initiative has awarded more than $200,000 in grants to support STEM education and expand access to innovative learning opportunities for K‒12 students. In 2026, 12 schools and organizations across Sparklight’s 24-state footprint were selected to receive funding for impactful, student-focused projects.
