Sparklight® Awards $2,500 Grant to Skyview School to Support STEM Education
PRESCOTT, Ariz. (April 30, 2025) –– As part of its 7th annual “Dream Bigger” social media campaign, Sparklight® is proud to announce that it has awarded a $2,500 grant to Skyview School.
Skyview School is an innovative K-8 charter school that emphasizes experimental and interdisciplinary learning. With support from Sparklight, they will add solar panels to their thriving school garden program. The addition will provide students with a solution-based approach to learning about global challenges such as climate change, water availability, food security and public health. Students will engage directly with these sustainability challenges through scientific exploration and authentic data collection.
“Our Skyview School community is extremely grateful and excited to have been selected as a Sparklight Dream Bigger contest winner,” said Ashley Fine, school garden coordinator at Skyview School. “Incorporating solar technology into our garden-centered curriculum will directly benefit our students by enriching learning outcomes across science, mathematics, technology, and systems thinking competencies. We appreciate Sparklight and our entire community who are working in support of this project.”

Since its inception in 2019, Sparklight’s “Dream Bigger” initiative has awarded nearly $200,000 to support STEM education and expand access to innovative learning opportunities for K-12 students. This year, 12 schools and organizations across Sparklight’s 24-state footprint were selected to receive funding for their impactful projects.
