Sparklight® Awards $2,500 Grant to Frederick High School to Support STEM Education
FREDERICK, Okla. (May 14, 2025) –– As part of its 7th annual “Dream Bigger” social media campaign, Sparklight® is proud to announce that it has awarded a $2,500 grant to Frederick High School.
Sparklight's support will help Frederick High School expand its robotics program by providing robotics kits, software and other materials. The funds will also support student workshops, competition fees, and mentorship programs led by industry professionals. The school's robotics program enhances students' technical skills, problem-solving and teamwork, preparing them for careers in engineering and technology.
“Participating in the Dream Bigger contest is an incredible opportunity for our Robotics Teams to bring our STEM project to life,” said Thomas Hensley, Frederick High School Robotics Teacher and Social Studies Department Chair. “Winning the $2,500 not only provides the resources we need to enhance our learning experiences but also allows us to explore innovative solutions, foster creativity, and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow. This funding will make a tangible difference, allowing us to expand our vision, inspire new ideas, and make a lasting impact on our community.”

Since its inception in 2019, Sparklight’s “Dream Bigger” initiative has awarded nearly $200,000 to support STEM education and expand access to innovative learning opportunities for K-12 students. This year, 12 schools and organizations across Sparklight’s 24-state footprint were selected to receive funding for their impactful projects.
