ARDMORE, Okla. (Jan. 19, 2026) – Local individuals and families facing food insecurity will receive added support thanks to a $5,500 grant awarded to the Food and Resource Center of South Central Oklahoma by Sparklight® through its Charitable Giving Fund. The grant will help the nonprofit stock its pantry with nutritious food and essential resources as demand for assistance continues to rise.

During its recent grant cycle, Sparklight awarded more than $125,000 in grants to 25 nonprofit organizations across the cities and towns it serves. From child and family support to hunger relief to education and vital skills training, the funding is helping enhance communities and uplift lives.

“As families grapple with rising costs, having a trusted local organization to turn to makes a real difference,” said Kenny Walker, Sparklight Senior Regional Director, South Central. “Through our Charitable Giving Fund, we’re proud to support the Food and Resource Center of South Central Oklahoma and its vital services for area residents.”

“Sparklight’s Charitable Giving Fund grant will strengthen our efforts to reduce food insecurity,” said Rosson. “Every dollar of this award will go toward nutritious groceries and healthier outcomes for families. We appreciate Sparklight for helping us as we build a community where no one goes hungry.”

The company’s Charitable Giving Fund focuses on initiatives that create lasting, local impact, including education and digital literacy, hunger relief and community development. Since the Fund’s inception in 2020, Sparklight has awarded more than $1.2 million in grants to more than 275 nonprofits that make a difference in the lives of those they serve.

Nonprofit organizations may apply for a grant during open application periods each spring and fall. Applications for the spring 2026 cycle will be accepted April 1–30, 2026.
