Ookla® Data Recognizes Sparklight® for Speed, Reliability and Responsiveness in Boise and Ada County

BOISE, Idaho (Sept. 23, 2026) — Sparklight®, a leading internet and mobile service provider, was recognized for Fastest Download Speeds, Most Reliable Internet Speeds and Most Responsive Internet Speeds in both Boise and Ada County, based on Ookla® Speedtest Intelligence® data for the first half of 2026.*
 

KEY FACTS

•    Sparklight was recognized for internet performance in three categories: download speed, reliability and responsiveness in both Boise and Ada County. 
•    In Boise, Sparklight download speeds were 51.58% faster, internet speeds were 10.44% more reliable and internet speeds were 6.17% more responsive than the next closest competitor in each category. 
•    Across Ada County, Sparklight download speeds were 33.52% faster, internet speeds were 8.92% more reliable and internet speeds were 2.26% more responsive than the next closest competitor in each category. 
•    Sparklight has invested more than $141 million in its Treasure Valley network over the past three years.
 

Sparklight leads in three internet performance measures

The results are based on consumer-initiated tests conducted through Ookla’s Speedtest® platform from Jan. 1 through June 30, 2026.
In Boise, 30,002 tests showed Sparklight delivered download speeds 51.58% faster and internet speeds 10.44% more reliable than the next closest competitor. A separate analysis of 29,522 tests found its internet speeds were 6.17% more responsive.

Across Ada County, 53,244 tests showed Sparklight delivered download speeds 33.52% faster and internet speeds 8.92% more reliable than the next closest competitor. A separate analysis of 52,490 tests found its internet speeds were 2.26% more responsive.
