Sparklight® Donates $1,500 to The Salvation Army of Jasper and Newton Counties to Help Feed Local Families 

JOPLIN, Mo. (Dec. 12, 2025)  – Sparklight®, Joplin’s hometown internet provider, is lending a hand to neighbors in need with a $1,500 donation to The Salvation Army of Jasper and Newton Counties. The funds will help the nonprofit respond to escalating need from local residents this holiday season.

The donation is part of Sparklight’s recent Refer-A-Friend Connections That Matter campaign. The company’s Refer-A-Friend program rewards customers for helping expand access to high-speed internet in their communities. Through the program, both the referring customer and their friend will receive a $50 prepaid card when the friend signs up for Sparklight internet and remains connected for 30 days.

“Families across our region are feeling the strain this season, and The Salvation Army of Jasper and Newton Counties continues to step up in extraordinary ways,” said Travis Harr, Senior Regional Director, North Central. “Sparklight is honored to support their mission and help provide relief and hope to neighbors who need it most.”
