Sparklight Awards $7,500 Charitable Giving Fund Grant to Camden County Family Connections
KINGSLAND, Ga. (Aug. 19, 2025) – To support nutrition education for young adults in Kingsland, Sparklight® has awarded a $7,500 grant to Camden County Family Connections through its Charitable Giving Fund. The grant will support the Healthy Eating Habits Program at Clubhouse Camden, the non-profit’s after-school program.
This cycle, Sparklight awarded more than $125,000 in grants to 27 nonprofit organizations across the cities and towns it serves. From children’s advocacy programs and mental health services to food banks and emergency response providers, the funding will help advance essential services that uplift lives and strengthen communities.
“Sparklight is proud to support organizations like Camden County Family Connections, which play a vital role in improving lives right here in Kingsland,” said Jane Shanley, Sparklight Senior Regional Director, Southeast. “These nonprofits are the heartbeat of our neighborhoods, and we’re honored to help amplify their work through the Charitable Giving Fund.”
The Healthy Eating Habits program partners with local businesses like Chef Wanda Clark’s Wandaful Things Bistro to provide daily after-school meals and interactive lessons on nutrition, meal preparation and healthy living. The program links healthy eating to real-world entrepreneurship, encouraging youth to make confident decisions about their bodies and futures.
“We truly appreciate Sparklight’s support of our Healthy Eating Habits Program,” said Steven Sainz, Camden County Family Connections Managing Principal. “This partnership allows us to nurture healthy habits far beyond a meal; it fuels the rest of the Clubhouse activities, where teens graduate from a University of Georgia-developed leadership curriculum and an evidence-based behavioral health promotion course.”
The company’s Charitable Giving Fund focuses on initiatives that create lasting, local impact, including education and digital literacy, hunger relife and community development. Since the Fund’s inception in 2020, Sparklight has awarded more than $1 million in grants to more than 250 nonprofits that make a difference in the lives of those they serve.
Nonprofit organizations may apply for a grant during open application periods each spring and fall. Applications for the fall 2025 cycle will be accepted October 1‒31, 2025.
